Old Petty, an 18-hole Tom Doak design, is an authentic celebration of Inverness’s rich history. Doak’s routing threads along a tidal estuary, bringing golfers even closer to the 400-year-old castle, and plays alongside Old Petty Church, which was built in 1839. The course’s logo honours the region’s iconic highland cow (“coo”) and rich colours. The year 2025 promises beautiful juxtaposition—a time to unveil world-class golf while celebrating the profound history on which it sits.
Old Petty will debut for Preview Play from August 1 to September 30, 2025, with reservations now open. Golfers will experience an exclusive, walking-only course, available through booking a tee time at Castle Stuart, creating a seamless and immersive experience between the two courses at Cabot Highlands. The grand opening is set for Spring 2026, with booking details coming in 2025. A true links experience set against Inverness’s rich history, Old Petty will be an exciting new chapter alongside its world-renowned neighbour, Castle Stuart.
